Use your City offers weekly meetings during the morning or afternoon to youth and adults with intellectual deficiencies, providing opportunities for sociability and reclaiming our city.
The destination of each outing is decided democratically by the group and they happen every two weeks. In the week that the group stays at the Morungaba headquarters, in addition to deciding where to go, the most meaningful aspects of the outing from the previous week are discussed. There are also dynamic group activities with diverse themes.
Once a month, on the weekend, optional nighttime outings are organized.
Participants of Use your City develop their potential through everyday experiences, among them, taking the subway and bus, handling money, meeting people and seeing new places.
Through these experiences, over time, the program seeks to promote autonomy and the sense of belonging to a group of friends.
