Letra Viva Program

Developed at the Municipal School EMEF Desembargador Amorim Lima, this project aimed at sparking the interest in reading and writing in Elementary 1st and 2nd grade students through storytelling, body movement, and music activities.
Letra Viva began in 2012, supported by psychology students from Mackenzie and PUC and volunteers. From April 2014 to March 2015, during its last stage, the program was funded by FUMCAD (Municipal Foundation for Children and Adolescents), and may be expanded by hiring a staff of educators and coordinators; the partnership also included psychology students from UNIP.
