Our History Book

In 2003, Morungaba completed 15 years of existence, and in order to remember each part of this story, a book was released.
Written by Silvia Cruz, the Our History book tells the story of Morungaba through pictures, words, ideas, and photographs of people – few words, big story – inspiring children and youth to understand that sociability with differences allows for new discoveries and experiences.
At the end of each of these 15 years, Morungaba threw a big party, a Cultural Event for integration, with names which mean much more than the word itself, such as Kaleidoscope, Ah… the Sea, the Tailor, among others. It was these events that inspired the artist and art educator to create this book.
Silvia Cruz participated in the history of Morungaba for many years, and has played, drawn, danced, dreamed… with many people in several programs.
UNESCO evaluated the Our History book project and recognized its importance as one more way of building Peace Culture.
